Method
So How does it work?

We'll start with a brief (or not so brief) phone call to see what you want from your tutor, and from your lessons.
We'll talk about your sax if you have one, and how to rent/rent-to-buy one if not. That done, we'll set up a first session at an agreed date & time. For beginners, we'll start with three or four easy notes, how to play them, and how to read them from music.
In that first session, we'll start to work on your first simple tune, reading the notes from music as we go.
For existing players, we'll see where you are, and decide where to start.
Either way, as you progress, you'll be studying more advanced pieces chosen for your individual tastes and needs, until you can play the whole range of notes with ease. Already you'll have built up quite a repertoire, and be able to sight-read and play along to backing tracks.
Now it gets really interesting, as we start to introduce improvisation technique using simple scales that you'll learn as we go along. We're getting creative now, and you'll begin to understand how musicians can blast out a solo seemingly out of the blue, I'll help you develop your own style and technique as we go, and you'll be starting out on this fascinating adventure with music.
